Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 10:03AM Great book covers by Darren Haggar at Penguin Press. The first three designed by Haggar, and the rest he art directed. Check out more here.

Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 10:30AM This photograph taken by the talented Gia Canali is so utterly romantic. I love Gia's style, especially her vintage photographs. Check out the detail on the train of this dress. Isn't it so pretty? I can imagine the fabric being razor thin and light as a feather. I love the simplicity and elegance of it all - ah, to be a bride again....

Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 01:33AM One of the best culinary experiences of my life was a 9-course dinner at famed chef Thomas Keller's renowned restaurant, Per Se (Time Warner Center, NYC). If could have, I would've married that meal... it was THAT good. A few floors down from PerSe is a little gem also owned by Keller called Bouchon Bakery. I always try to stop by when I'm in the area; everything is delicious. They introduce great specialty items around the holidays (remember the gorgeous Easter egg packaging?), and for Mother's Day they're featuring the perfect little dessert - The Spring Bonnet Cake. Isn't it so cute? It comes in 2 flavors and is available in individual sizes ($9 each). Visit Bouchon Bakery to learn more. Some more of my favorite treats below...

Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 10:28AM Just saw this kick-butt birthday invite on the fabulous 100 Layer Cake. I love this! I used to write letters on napkins a lot in my younger days (don't ask me why, it's not like I had a shortage of real paper in my house or anything), so it brings me back. I love the hand-lettered message and illustration of the restaurant (how great are the red balloons??). It's all just perfect. The designer behind this lovely invitation is Bryn and she's also a calligrapher - no wonder these look so good! Read more on 100 Layer Cake and check out Bryn's work here.

Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 07:08AM I've always loved the work of Wilhelm Staehle (the alter ego of designer Will Staehle) and came across them again while going through some of my old inspiration folders. The oh-so-proper illustrations mixed with beautifully hand-cut silhouettes are more than pleasing on the eyes, but mix in Wilhelm's dark humored wit and what you get is nothing short of perfection. I'm gonna love these forever...

There's something about the graphic in this logo for Pangur Glass Craft that I really like. It almost feels alive the way the bowls are stacked. Very nice.
