Wall Decals from Blik

My girlfriend just purchased a wall decal for her nursery from Blik. Love the designs - especially the doily floor decals... would be so perfect for a studio space.

Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 07:00AM Don't ask me why, but everytime I see a tutu, I have this urge to buy one. Not that I could ever fit in one or that I would ever even wear one (where would a grown, non-ballerina woman wear a tutu anyway?), but it's just so darn cute and makes me happy and nostalgic just looking at one. I mean, you can't get any more girly than a tutu, right? Well, now you can design your very own at Tutu Pour Mon Deux. Just choose your top (long or short sleeve), color, size, design, and ribbon style. Prices are $34-$38, and 1/3 of the proceeds are donated to Children's Hospital Boston - love that. What little girl wouldn't love one of these?

Monday, March 1, 2010 at 07:00AM Love these pieces from Serena & Lily... There's still so much we need to get for our apartment that we've been putting off for the past couple months (can you say lazy??!). I don't want to put any of our artwork up until we get some key pieces of furniture, so we've been living with plain white walls since September (which is not easy for the designer in me). Yesterday, I couldn't take it anymore, so I had the hubby put up the largest piece of art we own in the hallway.
I've had this (sick) obsession with white for most of my life, so I've made it a point to try and add a bit of color to the decor this time around (although, I realized that we bought an ivory couch, off-white rug & white veneer coffee table recently... oh, and I've been eyeing this white tv stand - hmm, I guess I'm not making as much progress as I thought. Double "hmmm" - I just noticed that most of the items in this post are also white. See, sick obsession... I can't help it). Something about white is so soothing to me, but my mother-in-law once told me that our bedroom looked like a mental hospital with all the white! Geez, when you put it that way... :(

Friday, February 26, 2010 at 07:00AM A couple weeks ago I received an email from Stephanie Wynne, one of the creators of the stunning jewelry line Jemma Wynne. Jemma and her college friend, Jenny Klatt, started the now coveted brand and the rest is history. I instantly fell in love with their aesthetic - bold and unique, yet luxurious and refined. It's the perfect balance. Really, every piece is to-die-for gorgeous, no?

Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 05:24PM I don't typically post things like this, but I have to share... A while back, I ordered a lunch special from one of my favorite neighborhood Japanese restaraunts. Now, I eat here all the time for dinner, but never lunch. I had a sudden craving for it, so I ordered the "Chicken Terriyaki" lunch special (I know, very original) and when it arrived, I almost fell off my seat (so much so that I had to take a picture!). Here's what the lunch special came with: Chicken Terriyaki, shrimp shumai, steamed vegetables, fried eggrolls, salad, 6-piece California Roll, miso soup, rice, and a Diet Coke - all for $8 bucks! Is it just me, or is this absolutely bonkers?? I mean, I'm not complaining - I'm a really big pig and eating is my thang, but this is nuts. I wanted to shoot myself after finishing this meal - I actually had to take a nap. Only in America folks... gotta love it!!!
